As you all may or may not know, being so close to the world's roughest mash up label N2O Records here in Hollywood, we often get to meet the platinum artists that the label remixes. The bands remixed and mashed up on this latest N2O limited pressing have all kicked it with the Dojo or been chilliin' on tour with the N2O artists, working on remixes in the studio with them, or even buy records from our Freeburning Records shop. We know you all been waiting for it but no one has been able to step it up and do it so we're proud to be the first to bring you the "B.Y.O.B" remix featuring System Of A Down. This one is sure to turn some heads and make all the haters realize that we come wit it full blast and there are no signs of slowing down. I already love the original song from "Hypnotize" on Sony and General Malice just put a whole new perspective on it for me as I'm sure he'll do for a lot of others. Massive amens and aggresive edits layered with key vocal parts will guarantee heavy moshing.
Next up, The Mars Volta "L' Via" Mash Up, thrown in there for the ladies and reggaeton heads will get people on the dancefloor movin in no time. You cflip this tune in transistion to some heavy dancehall or reggaeton sections of your set. We all know that you all flex alot of styles and the reggaeton sound is fucking blowing the fuck out these days and foreva'. Shit's mad hot on the rock en espanol, jungle, reggaeton, hip hop mash up sound. The original version of "L' Via" is a catchy tune as well on their self titled Sony release. Get with the sound or get the fuck out. I'll admit I haven't really listened to Papa Roach before working here at the Dojo and it's funny cuz I'll start listening to other stuff cuz I heard a jungle remix of it first. This mash up of "Blood" from their "Getting Away With Murder" on Geffen was inspired by DJ Starscream's demo remix of "S.I.D." which is actually a song about DJ Starscream "Sid Wilson" of Slipknot. Kinda ill like that we are all homies isn't it? He is hype on this General Malice mash up remix with it's heavy breakbeat and hip hop sections and filtered out and flipped metal sections. Papa Roach is definitely on some dope sounds and this mash up remix is in DJ Starscreams's crate all the time. Well I hope you all are ready cuz this record is a milestone for the N2O family and without the support of all our soldiers, records like this would not be possible so hope you like it. | |
